Is StockWatch free?
Yes for browsing markets, quotes, news, lessons, glossary, and many hubs. Free accounts get limited watchlists and alerts. Pro raises those limits and unlocks deeper tools. See Pricing.
Are prices real-time?
No. Quotes are delayed or aggregated for research and education. StockWatch is not a broker and does not execute trades.
What does “demo” mean on a quote?
Demo means the live feed was unavailable, so the UI shows placeholder values for learning. Prefer symbols marked live when you care about the actual last print.
How is this different from Lessons or the Glossary?
Help is product how-to and FAQ. Lessons teach finance concepts. The Glossary defines terms in plain English. Use all three together.
Where are the indices desks?
Open Markets, then Major Indices, Indices Futures, World Indices, Global Indices, or Indices Real-Time. You can also use Markets → Indices in the header menu. Each desk links into quote pages and Lessons.
Do you cover taxes by country?
Yes - open Tax in the main nav (or go to /tax), type a country name (for example Sri Lanka or United States), and select it to load that desk. Each desk includes live tax news, bills/legislation coverage, reported rate changes, court/tribunal headlines, educational tax conditions, and an estimated net-salary calculator. Confirm with a professional and official sources.
Why do some quote pages have a Research desk and others do not?
We publish original Research desk notes first on high-traffic teaching symbols (mega-cap equities, major indices, and key commodities). More symbols are added over time. Lessons and the Glossary work on every visit.
How do I get the weekly market brief?
Use the newsletter signup on the homepage or education pages. You can unsubscribe anytime from the link in each email.
I paid but Pro is not active yet. What now?
Wait a few seconds and refresh Account or Watchlists while Stripe webhooks sync. If checkout was canceled, nothing was charged. Subscribe again from Pricing.

Is any of this investment advice?
No. StockWatch is for education and market information only. You are responsible for your own decisions and should confirm data with your broker or advisor.
