Who we are
StockWatch (“we”, “us”) is a web application at www.stockplutus.com. Contact: hello@stockplutus.com.
What we collect
- Account data — email, name, password hash (if you register with email), and OAuth identifiers if you sign in with Google or GitHub.
- Product data — watchlists, alerts, forum posts, API usage, and similar content you create in the app.
- Billing data — subscription status and Stripe customer / subscription IDs. Card details are processed by Stripe; we do not store full card numbers.
- Technical data — approximate logs (IP, user agent, error traces) needed to run and secure the service. Optional analytics via Cloudflare Web Analytics.
- Advertising — if AdSense is enabled for free-tier pages, Google may process data according to its policies. Pro accounts are ad-free in our product UI.
Why we use it
- Provide and improve StockWatch (accounts, markets tools, Pro features).
- Send transactional email (password reset, price alerts) via our email provider.
- Process subscriptions and invoices through Stripe.
- Prevent abuse, debug outages, and meet legal obligations.
Legal bases (EEA / UK)
Where GDPR applies, we rely on: performance of a contract (providing the service you request), legitimate interests (security, product improvement, limited analytics), and legal obligations where required. Marketing emails are not our default; transactional mail is required to operate accounts and alerts you configure.
Processors & sharing
We use trusted providers to run the product, including:
- Hosting / edge — Vercel
- Database — Neon (Postgres)
- Payments — Stripe
- Email — Resend
- DNS / analytics — Cloudflare
- Optional ads — Google AdSense (free tier)
- Optional AI features — OpenAI when configured
- OAuth — Google / GitHub when you choose those sign-in methods
We do not sell your personal information. Market data providers supply quotes and related feeds; they are not given your account profile for marketing.
Retention
We keep account and product data while your account is active. You may request deletion by contacting us. Billing records may be retained as required for accounting and dispute handling. Logs are kept only as long as useful for security and operations.
Your rights
Depending on your location, you may have rights to access, correct, delete, or export your data, and to object to or restrict certain processing. Contact hello@stockplutus.com. You may also lodge a complaint with your local data protection authority.
Security
We use industry-standard protections (HTTPS, hashed passwords, access-controlled production systems). No method of transmission or storage is perfectly secure.
Children
StockWatch is not directed at children under 16. We do not knowingly collect their personal data.
Changes
We may update this policy. The “Last updated” date above will change when we do. Material changes may also be noted in the product or by email when appropriate.
